Sweet Styled Shoot • Savannah Wedding Invitation Designer

Friends!

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to rediscover this design I did for a photoshoot last spring. When one has wandered the wilderness of creative pause, it is comforting to look back over the year and see such bold, warm color. It’s a little burst of sunshine.

My cute friends Audrey and Izzy always come up with the most amazing creative concepts and it makes me so happy when they invite me to play along. When they asked me about a shoot that was “super southern, heirloom-y, and maybe honeybee in nature?” I thought to myself, “yeah, I think I can manage that.” Of course, they took the concept to amazing places that I couldn’t have even imagined. I love the deep reds and purples in this shoot. As always, that hint of gold just gets me every time.

Everything these gals touch turns to gold. In fact, you might have already seen this shoot over on Style Me Pretty Southeast. It was also published in print in Savannah Weddings Magazine AND in Southern Bride Magazine. (I told you these ladies were amazing!)

This suite is now available in my shop! Yay!

Custom Wedding Stationery Designer • Dallas, Texas

I see a lot of mood boards with fluffy blooms, billowy dresses, windswept hair…okay, I usually make those mood boards. But, every now and then, a concept will come across my inbox that makes me, well, pause. (Or in this case…paws?)

My friend Audrey of French Knot Studios reached out to me with the idea of a themed shoot centered around French bulldogs: complete with water colors and miniature bow ties (for the pups, of course!) I mean, HOW do you say no to that kind of fun? Shot by the amazing Lauren Peele Photography deep in the heart of Texas, I think you’ll love the playful style and whimsy of this shoot!

We are honored that this goodness was featured on Green Wedding Shoes last week. Hop over to see even more images as well as a tutorial from Blome’s Paperie on how to make the fun standup watercolor flowers above!

And YES! This suite will be available in my shop starting this summer. (The shop is currently on vacation because- drumroll- we are about to have our second bebe ANY time!) If you simply cannot wait until August, feel free to shoot me an email. I will be checking in sporadically. I only apologize in advance for slower than normal response times, as well as any replies you might get at three in the morning…it’s how we’re going to roll around here!

I have one more fabulous styled shoot to share with you first thing next week, if baby holds off, that is!

Happy Thursday, my dears!

Love,

New in the Shop • Hand-Lettered Valentine Card

Valentine-2 Valentine-single-1
Valentine-3
I thought I’d share a little piece of my heart with you today.

At first glance, this is a Valentine card. But, it isn’t your typical hearts-and-cupids-and-nothing-but-bubble-gum-pink type of card. It’s bold and in your face- just like love ought to be.

I really dig how the design combines pattern, lettering, and florals: a trifecta of awesome, if you ask me. She’s printed on a fabulous pearl paper and comes with an equally fantastic gold envelope. That liner? To me, it just makes the entire thing.

Quite honestly, this might be one of the best examples of my overall vision for Miss Wyolene that I’ve produced to date. I want my work to pop. I want it to be unexpected. I want whoever the end recipient is to feel loved and treasured.

So, there’s more where this card came from. A lot more.

If you’d like to get your hands on this pretty, hop over to my shop. I’d love to wrap one up for you to send to your love.

Love,
