New in the Shop • Hand-Lettered Valentine Card

Valentine-2 Valentine-single-1
I thought I’d share a little piece of my heart with you today.

At first glance, this is a Valentine card. But, it isn’t your typical hearts-and-cupids-and-nothing-but-bubble-gum-pink type of card. It’s bold and in your face- just like love ought to be.

I really dig how the design combines pattern, lettering, and florals: a trifecta of awesome, if you ask me. She’s printed on a fabulous pearl paper and comes with an equally fantastic gold envelope. That liner? To me, it just makes the entire thing.

Quite honestly, this might be one of the best examples of my overall vision for Miss Wyolene that I’ve produced to date. I want my work to pop. I want it to be unexpected. I want whoever the end recipient is to feel loved and treasured.

So, there’s more where this card came from. A lot more.

If you’d like to get your hands on this pretty, hop over to my shop. I’d love to wrap one up for you to send to your love.

A little love | handmade Valentines

If you recall my (not-so-subtle) hinting back here and here about my buying paper and some other crafty delights in Paris (I promise its in there…hiding next to a comment about cheese, probably.)

I FINALLY have some love goodies to show you!

The paper I used for these cards came not only from our recent trip to Paris, but also past trips to Buenos Aires and Florence. Precious materials, for sure!

These guys are limited edition: I only made one of each because I am very reticent to ever use what I buy when I travel…(Why? Probably because I know that its kinda tough to zip over to Florence when I run out. So, the fact that I loosened my grasp long enough to make five different cards is real progress, folks.)

You can find all of these pretties over at my Etsy shop. And stay tuned for further Valentine yummies over the next two weeks!

I’m that girl

…Yep. I’m the girl who made a Christmas card before Thanksgiving. But don’t think of me as anti-Turkey Day.

Instead, think of it as us getting a jump on the holiday season– and knocking things out ahead of schedule!

Take these guys…(Seriously. Take them. Go to my Etsy shop and see for yourself.) I wanted to try a new technique in hand-lettering. I wrote everything out and had it made into a fancy stamp. Then I saw this bright paper and it was all over…ta da! Say goodbye to boring old cards…And hello to the brightness.
