Sweet Styled Shoot • Savannah Wedding Invitation Designer

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to rediscover this design I did for a photoshoot last spring. When one has wandered the wilderness of creative pause, it is comforting to look back over the year and see such bold, warm color. It’s a little burst of sunshine.

My cute friends Audrey and Izzy always come up with the most amazing creative concepts and it makes me so happy when they invite me to play along. When they asked me about a shoot that was “super southern, heirloom-y, and maybe honeybee in nature?” I thought to myself, “yeah, I think I can manage that.” Of course, they took the concept to amazing places that I couldn’t have even imagined. I love the deep reds and purples in this shoot. As always, that hint of gold just gets me every time.

Everything these gals touch turns to gold. In fact, you might have already seen this shoot over on Style Me Pretty Southeast. It was also published in print in Savannah Weddings Magazine AND in Southern Bride Magazine. (I told you these ladies were amazing!)

This suite is now available in my shop! Yay!

Hello Again and Christmas Promotion

Well hey there! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? In my absence, we welcomed our little boy in to the world. (A little boy who currently appears to be hungry…Hang on, Little Buddy, this will just take a second!)

To celebrate my return and Miss Wyolene’s first full year of self-employment, I’m offering 25 free thank you cards to brides who secure their 2013 invitation spot by December 31, 2012! Trust me, these beauties will come in handy as the showers begin and the gifts start arriving. (Oh, being engaged is the best, isn’t it?)

If you are an interested bride, feel free to email me at or message me at my Etsy shop.

There’s so much more to come from me in the upcoming weeks. I have a new collection piece to show you and a few custom designs I’ve been working on for our little Baby Bennett! Plus, I have a feeling that 2013 is going to be a GREAT year for Miss Wyolene and I cannot WAIT to share it all with you!

New in the shop • Meet Mizelle

Nice to meet you, Miss Mizelle. (Its a real name, I promise. Though, one we aren’t considering for the baby.) Pronounced muh-zelle,  she is the newest member of the Miss Wyolene Wedding and Party Collection. Inspired by a sunny afternoon garden party, this suite is collaged and hand lettered by yours truly. You can order yours in my Etsy shop, and as always, custom quotes are available.

The National Stationery show has lit a fire under my behind and let me tell you, even though it’s about to get crazy busy around here, it is my goal to keep you posted. We have some house renovations coming up, of course the ever growing baby that makes me hungry and crabby for no apparent reason, and a few really exciting surprises this summer that I will surely let you in on as soon as I can. (Hint: we find out next week whether or not Baby Young is a he or a she…SO excited.)

Fresh Design • Thank You Sweetly

Well, it’s been a wild week and it feels like its been FOREVER since I’ve shown you all something NEW! Well, this is the first of several designs I’ll be unveiling in the next week or so.

I’m super excited about this first one for several reasons. First, it is the official premier piece of Miss Wyolene’s collection! That’s right- I’m narrowing down my favorite styles and looks and polishing it all into a cohesive collection that hopefully conveys my personal look and direction for this whole thing! Secondly, the real Miss Wyolene always signs her notes this way, and I just wish you could hear her say it. (You can practice with an old-school Southern accent.) Such a beautiful card seemed like a fitting tribute to her lovely manners and kindness.

These cards are sold individually and are available on my Etsy site and (exciting drumroll, please) at this amazing, adorable shop in Asheville, NC.
